We met on Match and consider ourselves to be one of the happy endings to an online dating site. We both had a date lined up for the day after we started talking and decided to cancel those to spend the evening together. We couldn’t have made a better decision! We quickly learned we have a ton in common... a love of living in the country, football (now a house divided… GEAUX Tigers! Hail State!), road trips, consider our dogs as part of the family, etc. We immediately became best friends and haven’t been apart since. From traveling back-and-forth from Louisiana to Mississippi and vice versa to moving in together, we have in a sense come full circle and are ready to tie the knot!
One night we decided to go out on a date to Superior Grill in Baton Rouge which is where we had our first date. There were 6 empty stools at the bar where we decided to sit (come to find out Jonathan had these reserved in advance). After we finished eating and drinking 1…or was it 2…or maybe 3 margaritas, Jonathan “accidentally” dropped something. I turned around to see what it was and there he was on one knee in the middle of the restaurant. I was shocked and of course said “Yes!” and bam, we were engaged! He ended the night by taking me to see Mike the Tiger mimicking our first date. It was perfectly planned out!
