Quinshard and I met the second semester of high school, at Bradley Tech . One day in class we had to group up and we clicked instantly. Everyday we would talk about any and everything, like we’d known each other for years. During one of our conversations, we discovered we lived close to each other on the east side of Milwaukee. We would meet at Fratney Park on the weekends and would chat for hours. Quinshard ended up leaving Bradley Tech and going to Riverside High School, but we continued our weekend rendezvous. Once, Quinshard brought his brother, Buck along. With us both attending Tech and playing on its basketball teams, Buck and I became friends. After graduating of the same class, Buck and I eventually started calling each other bro and sis. Their family would throw the best parties and I would always join. Over the years Quinshard and I would support each other, whether it was showing up for gatherings or just being there when the other needed to vent. October 20, 2020 was our nephew Jr’s first birthday party. Quinshard made his move after the celebration and followed up the next day. Though we always liked each other over the years, we didn’t want to ruin our friendship. Finally, we took a leap of faith and I’m so happy we did, because we’ve been together ever since.
