Bien's POV
In July 2015, I joined the Christian Life Program (CLP) of CFC-Singles for Christ (SFC) to deepen my faith and relationship with the Lord. Little did I know that God, the Best Wingman, would bring someone along with Him. Not long after joining the CLP, I met Quino. We were in the same batch, but I only noticed him when we became part of the same circle of friends in SFC—a bunch of 'good guys' with whom we shared our stories of joy and sorrow. Through this group, Quino & I discovered more about each other: our shared interests, passion, and love for service. Quino devoted much of his weekends to SFC and The Feast PICC. On the other hand, I was part of the dance ministry of SFC and The Feast Ortigas. One Sunday, he invited me to join him at The Feast PICC, and soon after, we became Feast buddies, movie besties, hiking partners, and each other’s prayer warriors. We grew closer, and our friendship gradually blossomed into something that felt warm & safe like home.
Quino's POV
With Bien, I felt at home. During one of our activities in SFC, I mustered the courage to write her a love letter declaring my feelings for her. Fortunately, the feeling was mutual. Before midnight on August 12 (Schwelve), 2018, in front of our parish, St. Joseph the Worker, I asked Bien to be my "God’s Gift" (SFC term for a significant other). Definitely an answered prayer. A couple of months later, Bien & I became furparents when we adopted our little ball of sunshine, Summer. With God as our anchor, our relationship has been a smooth ride filled with dreams and remarkable times. Despite struggles with our careers and studies during the pandemic, Bien & I began planning our future together, including purchasing our first home and getting married. In 2020, Bien & I finally bought a condo unit where we dream to build our family— this marked the start of our engagement. And so, the plan of getting married pressed on. Three years later, on May 6, 2023, Bien & I booked the wedding church of her dreams, St. Benedict Parish. And on that very day, inside that same church, I proposed to Bien and heard the sweetest "Yes."
