Question

Why Enchanted Hills? Short Answer: Community, Nature & Resilience

Answer

6 months into our engagement, we finally found Enchanted Hills. We knew it was the right place to celebrate with friends & family. We wanted a casual, outdoor wedding, with a focus on getting as much time with you as possible. We also knew we wanted to support venues & vendors with a mission. Enchanted Hills provides summer camp for the blind and visually impaired. The camp was damaged in the 2017 Wildfires but are well on their way to recovery. The recovery and rebuild has included numerous AmeriCorps teams. Nicki immediately found a connection with the beauty & energy of the space, kindness of the camp staff, & the serenity of the majestic redwoods; while the connection to nature, summer camp, disaster recovery, & AmeriCorps made it feel like the perfect fit for Quinn. We are excited to share this beautiful space with you & are humbled that our wedding will help support the Camps continual recovery, growth and ability to provide services to the blind community for years to come.

Question

What do I need to bring?

Answer

Yourself! We know the idea of a "camp wedding" may be a little different, but rest assured it's not THAT campy. There is a pool- so bring a swimsuit! If you will be staying at camp, feel free to bring any snacks or food you may want, drinks included. In addition to the planned meals, we will also have food, snacks, and drinks to share. Most of the sleeping arrangements will include bedding and towels (no need for sleeping bags or tents). Do bring your preferred soaps, shampoos, etc. If you prefer the glamping budget friendly option, bring a sleeping bag and pillow. If you WANT to tent camp- we assume you know what you need to camp : )

Question

What's the deal with staying on site?

Answer

Having a destination wedding with friends and family near for the whole weekend was really important to us. We also wanted to provide people affordable lodging options, so we hope you will consider staying with us on site at Enchanted Hills. More information is in the "Travel" section of the website and on the lodging form available here: https://forms.gle/wgfmxtGStHbaTUBu8

Question

Are our kids welcome?

Answer

Of Course! They should have all been included on the invites, but if we messed up somewhere, please know the whole family is welcome. Please make sure to include them in the RSVPs so we have accurate counts.

Question

Can I bring my pet?

Answer

No, Sorry. To assure the safety of the service dogs of their campers and some staff, Enchanted Hills has a no pet policy. We got them to make one exception, so our dog Hazel can be in the ceremony. If you are craving some furry snuggles while you celebrate with us, we are sure she will volunteer.

Question

Who's art is on the Save the Dates

Answer

Our friend, Edwin Rodriguez Rosales took some scribbled ideas and turned it into more than we could have imagined.
