Lets Get Married

Markus and Quinn met in 2015, working at Positive Pie in Barre, VT. Quinn and Markus both caught each other's eyes and shortly after with the assistance of friends and coworkers they found each other across a pool table at a local bar. They have been inseparable ever since. Their lives quickly fell together and now live together in East Montpelier, VT with their little black dog Porter (by little we mean 70+lbs) and other little black dog Dixie (actually small only 40lbs).

Markus and Quinn got engaged in November 2019 in Venice Florida. Their engagement was beautifully creative. The story began as a quick getaway to Florida for a long weekend. Little did Quinn know this weekend was going to be one for the books. Here is how the story unfolded. 2 months before they went to Florida, Markus teamed up with Good Measure Brewing in Northfield VT, and began brewing a special proposal beer (see photos under the photos tab!). As the beer was brewing, Markus kept working on the big surprise. He commissioned a graphic artist to design a one of a kind beer label. Days before heading off to Florida, the beer was ready to be canned. Markus canned over 100 beers and filled multiple kegs, which were sold locally at a few of our favorite restaurants!! Markus named the beer "A Nice Ring To It" and with help from his parents, he overnighted a six-pack of the beer to Florida (not entirely sure that is legal..), which was received by the maintenance man of the condos in Florida. He then hid it in the closet for Markus' arrival. On Friday, November 14th, Markus had the entire plan all set, there was only one thing left to do. Execute the plan. As the sun was setting on Venice beach, Markus asked Quinn to grab him a beer from the cooler. (Quinn not knowing Markus had snuck 'A Nice Ring To It' into the cooler), she grabs a can and begins to read the custom label which on one side reads "In collaboration with our friends at Good Measure Brewing, an ale to celebrate the shared passion of craft beer of Markus and Quinn - Raise a toast to the happy couple and the many years to come" Once she began to realize what was happening, she turned around to Markus on one knee, asking for her hand in marriage. After a few tears and a YES! Markus and Quinn enjoyed their custom proposal beer together. I guess you could say the rest is history.
