No. Since it is outdoors and in a national park, we will not be able to have a covered area. The wedding will happen regardless of rain, snow, or shine!
In September, it ranges from 57-69 degrees during the day, and drops to the 30s-40s at night. The weather in the mountains changes frequently, so be prepared for afternoon storms. There is a possibility of snow.
There will be a total of 10 cars allowed for the wedding party, so plan accordingly for this. You will be required to pay for the permit to enter the park, but you WILL NOT have to apply for a timed entry. The easiest way to get into the park will be through the Beaver Meadows entrance.
Dressy Casual! Women: This means flowy maxi dresses, tea-length dresses, dressy skirts and blouses, or dress pants and blouses. Men: tailored trousers, button-down, collared shirt, blazer or sport coat is optional, chinos.
It is preferred, but not necessary! The colors can be found on the website. The color scheme for the wedding is "olive green and burgundy". This consists of merlot, deep burgundy, forest green, sage green, terracotta, plum, and olive green. We just ask that no one wear white or dark brown. The wedding registry is attached to this website. Since this is a destination wedding, we do not expect any gifts, but any will be greatly appreciated. If you feel more comfortable with using a check or cash, that also works!
Yes! Since the wedding is earlier in the day and we plan on having dinner, there will be a gap between the two events. Jaeden and I plan on taking wedding pictures within the park after family photos. Family pictures should end around 12:30 p.m., and dinner will start at 5:30 p.m.
