What started on March 29th ,2021 with a spontaneous “Can I pet your dog” quickly became the beginning of something much bigger. Come April 20th Quinn would beat Calvin in a game of 21 and the rest is history. After months of conversation, anticipation, and gathering courage, on August 27th Calvin finally made things official with Quinn just two days before she was set to move to Vancouver. The first three years of their love were defined by distance and devotion, measured by countless ferry rides, basketball games, and far too many late-night FaceTimes that always seemed to last a little longer than planned. So it felt only right that when he asked the question that mattered most, it happened with immense surprise near the place that had carried them through most of it, the ocean. With waves as witnesses and years of patience behind them, the answer came without hesitation. What began with a dog and a few too many margaritas has grown into a lifelong promise, one shaped by love, faith, and always choosing each other.
