After meeting in the Army National Guard, Ben was set to deploy to Africa while Quinn was slotted for Iraq. For no real reason (shoutout God), Ben was transferred to the Iraq deployment, and then again to Quinn’s team (double shout out God). For twelve months, Ben and Quinn grew in friendship. While they worked together and learned together, they also learned about each other. They went to the gym, Sunday service, to work and the USO. They played games, set goals, and shared stories of their friends and family. Even after they returned home and changed units, Ben and Quinn stayed in touch. A few months later, and after a Charlottesville hike, Ben asked Quinn to be his girlfriend. We've dreamed of this day ever since!
