We’re getting married!

In December 2020, Jill and Quincy met the old-fashioned way- they matched on the popular dating app Hinge! After several Facetime dates (COVID prevented their meeting in person) that went on for hours, in January they decided to officially meet in person. They met for their first date at Lenny Boy Brewery in South End in Charlotte, where they sat outside in 30 degree weather wearing masks to keep safe from COVID. In fact, the only thing that kept Quincy from freezing through were the sparks that flew between him and Jill! After several hours of great conversation and the fantastic first date came to a close, snow flurries began to fall (in Charlotte? Whattt?) as if to solidify the romanticism of it all. Fast forward to August 2022, Jill and Quincy got their first apartment together in Concord, NC, where they are currently living along with their cat, Pumpkin. In March 2024, Quincy had carefully planned his proposal to Jill. He planned a romantic date at Douglas Vineyards in Kannapolis, NC where he and Jill did a wine tasting (you know, a little liquid courage to calm Quincy’s nerves) before taking a walk around the vineyard and popping the question! After hearing the word “yes” (YES!) they had a lovely photo shoot (check out the “Our Gallery” page to see some of the results!) before meeting up with family at Jill’s mother’s house, where both of their families were there to celebrate the good news! We are so excited to have each and every one of our guests to help us in the newest chapter of our story: the wedding! Thank you and we can’t wait to celebrate with you all! See you soon! J&Q
