Everything started on a winter night in Ellensburg in 2015. Little did we know that the universe was quietly nudging us toward each other. In a room full of people, Jenisha stood out instantly. Her presence and energy were beyond mesmerizing. Years later, during COVID, the universe gave us another chance to merge our paths. We went on our first date in Seattle to get ramen. Looking back, this was a horrible decision. We failed to consider the fact that, at the time, restaurants did not allow people to dine indoors. We sat in the car and ate our ramen, which is not an easy food to enjoy without a table. Awkwardly, we tried to politely slurp down our soup and ended up staying to talk for hours. It felt as if we were picking up a conversation we’d been having our whole lives—and maybe many lives before. Since then, we’ve built a life filled with curiosity, laughter, joy, and meaningful lessons. We love exploring new places and trying new foods and restaurants. One of our favorite memories was traveling through Iceland together, where we discovered the waterfall that became “ours” — a moment in time that was truly magical and unforgettable. Together with our sweet pup, Hendrxx, we make the best teammates and partners as we take on this thing called life. As we evolve and grow through the many seasons ahead, we will continue to bring out the best in each other. The love we share will naturally extend to those around us and to the people we hold close.
