John and Anna met their Junior year of college at the University of New Hampshire through a Greek life event. The two became fast friends with mutual loves of food, drinks, and summers on the New Jersey Shore. After a year of friendship, they realized they wanted more and the rest is history.

After graduating college, John and Anna dated long distance for a year, John in MA, and Anna in NJ. In 2017, Anna moved to Boston and the two began building their lives together. John and Anna are both dog lovers and John knew he wanted to have a pup involved in his engagement plan. Fast Forward to December of 2020 when the two flew to Denver, CO to pick up their puppy son, Eddie. After almost 6 months of planning, John and Eddie were prepared for the big day. The two took Anna to walk on the beach in Spring Lake, NJ - a beach town that was a large part of her childhood. It was then John tucked the ring box into Eddie's harness, dropped to one knee, and a surprise photographer jumped out ready to capture the moment. Anna said yes, of course!
