Question
Are there any COVID-related restrictions to be aware of?
Answer
We're in the clear! There is no need to provide proof of vaccination or negative test result upon arrival. The only time you may be asked to wear a mask is while exploring the mansion, and if you do not have one, attendants can provide one to you. Guests using the shuttle service between the Tarrytown House Estate and the mansion must wear masks while onboard.

What is the dress code?
Answer
Black tie optional. Tuxes and gowns encouraged, but not required.

What is the appropriate footwear?
Answer
The ceremony takes place on grass and guests will do some downhill walking on a paved driveway. Stiletto heels are discouraged, and block heels, wedges and flats are recommended.

Is the wedding outside?
Answer
Weather permitting, the ceremony will take place outside. Cocktail hour is largely outside as well, with some covering under the mansion veranda and access to the inside of the mansion for touring and using the restroom. The reception is tented with hard floors. Please keep a lookout for the weather in Tarrytown, which usually a bit cooler especially along the river where we will be!

What happens if there’s inclement weather?

The wedding will still take place at Lyndhurst Mansion in a sheltered location on the property. Think good thoughts for us!

Can we go inside the mansion?
Answer
Yes! Please enjoy exploring the mansion during cocktail hour. There will be guides present to answer questions about the mansion’s history for those nerds out there. Restrooms are available inside as well. Please note that there are no food or drinks allowed inside. You may be asked to wear a mask upon entry - if you do not have one, there will be extra on hand.

What are the transportation and parking options?

For guests staying at the Tarrytown House Estate on the Hudson, shuttle transportation will be available to and from the mansion at the beginning and end of the night. For all guests who prefer to drive, complimentary valet service is available upon arrival at the mansion.

What is the guest policy?
Answer
If your invitation envelope says "and Guest," you are welcome to bring someone. Guests, however, should kindly be warned that they are getting themselves into a 7-hour Persian-American whirlwind of craziness.
