Due to limited space and venue restrictions, we can only fit those listed as part of the RSVP card sent to you. Only children in the wedding party will be invited to the reception. Please let us know if you need help finding a baby-sitter (we know many undergraduate students who would love the opportunity)!
Dress code language is confusing. We were confused by it, but this website helped: https://www.theknot.com/content/wedding-guest-attire-cheat-sheet The wedding will be between what the website calls "formal" and "cocktail attire", with a light blue and coral pink color theme. We will be having an outdoor ceremony and the reception will be on a boat during the evening so please keep that in mind when preparing attire/footwear. The average high in Michigan in August is 80F (27 C) and the average low is around 65F (18C).
If you choose to drive, there is parking off of the Safe Jefferson Harbor where the ceremony will be held. We are also going to provide transportation from our recommended hotels to and from the ceremony/reception so everyone can have a safe, good time.
We are registered at Zola's, Macy's, Amazon and Bed Bath and Beyond. Click the registry tab to see all the links!
Please let us know about food allergies and restrictions as soon as possible. All attempts will be made to accommodate dietary restrictions.
Take a look at the travel section of the website!
The ceremony will be from 6-6:30. Boat boarding will be 6:30-7 and then the cruise will be from 7-11 pm. Please note that as this is a river cruise no one will be able to leave the boat from 7-11 pm. There will be drinks, food and restrooms provided on board. Finally, from 11 pm-12 am the boat will be at the dock as the celebration wraps up.
No, definitely not! The boat is equipped with multiple life savers and life rafts.
