We met in January of 2016 at Topeka Civic Theatre. We were both in the show “Memphis” and were both in relationships so we were just friends. In 2018 we both found ourselves single and started to hang out and talk more. We didn’t make it official until January of 2019.

My family took a trip to Disneyland to celebrate my parents retirement. The 2nd and last night for us there at the park, we all watched the fireworks and then headed to the castle to get family pictures. We did the whole group then broke down to families. The photographer had we stand awkwardly with my back to Matt and then had me turn around to see him down on one knee. I ran in place, giggled and said Yes! It was a perfect surprise.
