Travel Note
We've created an interactive map with our recommendations for food, beaches, and activities, as well as all the locations of the weeks events.
Flight
Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI) is the closest international airport (and the only airport on the island). The drive time to Palma city center is about 15 minutes.
Travel Note
For those wanting to explore the area on an extended trip (which we recommend!), car rental agencies are readily available and it's quite easy navigating the island by car. For those not wanting to drive, you can travel by taxi service (to the right when you step outside the airport), uber, or organize transportation with your hotel, if applicable. If you do not want to rent a car: Uber/Taxi service is available, especially leaving from Palma. There is also a vintage train that leaves from Palma to Soller/Port de Soller, which you can take for sightseeing around that area. You can also utilize their public transportation, though we aren't familiar with it as we rented a car during our stay, and we heard that getting around takes a while. It is good to note that there is more limited taxi service outside of Palma, as it is the only large city on the island, and there is no taxi service near our venue in Binissalem. Complimentary shuttle service will be provided on the night of the wedding for guests leaving and returning to the central Palma area.
Rental Car
This is a local (non chain) company that we have rented with before and had a good experience with. They set us up with a discount code to share for 15% off if you book through their services (you can also use this code again if you ever decide to travel back to Mallorca !!). You can enter the code TOP15 where it says 'codigo promocional' during booking.
Travel Note
We recommend staying in and around the Palma area for easiest access to our wedding events. Palma is a metropolitan city with lots to offer in terms of restaurants, beaches, and activities. It is also a great starting point for day trips around the island. We will be staying just outside of Palma, near Son Gual. If you are looking for something a bit more quiet and relaxed, you can check out the surrounding towns such as Valldemossa. We would not recommend staying near Santanyi or Pollenca, simply because you will need to drive a bit farther to get to our events. If you don't mind that, these are definitely very popular locations with beautiful beaches. Please reach out to us if you have questions about where to stay, we are happy to give recommendations based on our travel experience there!
House Or Rental
There are many different Airbnb options on the island that you can explore below. We will be staying at Finca Son Pou, very near to the airport and about a 10 minute drive from Palma's center.

Cycling! There is a huge cycling community on Mallorca, and you will definitely notice people riding up and down the mountain range as you drive. There are places to rent bikes all over, but here is one in Palma if you want to take part: https://callandridemallorca.com/. You can also do a day trip up to Pollenca, where the cycling is highly recommended and there are beautiful sand beaches to stop at. Snorkeling/Boat tours This is a highly recommended way to see the different small coves and beaches, guided by a local. We were recommended "Smart Boats" for booking, but there are tons of different companies who offer this service. Sunrise Dolphin Cruise For early risers, you can book a boat tour on the North side of the island (Pollenca) to take you out and see the dolphins off the coast at sunrise. We heard great things about it. Tram to Soller (leaving from Palma) The vintage tram is a super cute activity, and also a fantastic way to take in the Mallorcan countryside on your way to Soller. Once you are there, you can shop, see the old cathedral, eat at a local cafe or one of our recommended retaurants, or you can continue on a second tram to Port de Soller where you can hit the beach or catch a boat to do some sightseeing along the coast. Hiking The Tramuntana mountain range provides endless hiking trails across the north west side of the island, all with pretty stunning views. You can use sites like "Consell de Mallorca" (official trek routes), "Wikiloc" (more informal hiking routes), and "Komodo", where you can access trail maps all over the island. Water Sports Paddle boarding, sailing, jet skiing, cliff jumping, and any other water sport you can think of are available to enjoy. Wine Tasting The Binissalem area, and really any part of the central valley of the island, is known for its wine making, and you are spoiled for choice when it comes to wineries. One of the more popular ones is 4Kilos, but you can explore and stop in to try almost anywhere.
