We got engaged a few days after returning from a relaxing family trip. Our families had never met before, so we were on our way to Darius' father's house. Shorty after arriving, everyone had got acquainted and were conversing amongst each other. We made our way to the front of the room standing together and Darius began to speak. He said many beautiful and heartwarming things while the whole family and I listened. Before I knew it Darius was on one knee, holding a ring, asking if I would marry him. I cried, "YESSSSSS!"
