It was the first year of high school at Bur Oak Secondary School. Queeny & Alden met during their first French Class when they were seated next to each other. Coincidentally, their first interaction was when Alden dropped his eraser, and Queeny picked it up for him. After this awkward first interaction, it wasn't until several weeks later did they talked again. How they began to talk was when her best friend, Denise, decided to put Queeny's phone number in his phone. From there, Alden messaged Queeny and they instantly hit it off. Every day after school, they would chat online or on the phone for hours. On January 9th, 2012 Queeny was dragged by her friends to meet up with Alden where he would ask her to be his girlfriend. This was the start of their love story.

After 12 years together on April 13th, 2024 Alden proposed to Queeny on a trip to Whistler, Vancouver. Alden and Queeny decided to take a trip to Vancouver for her birthday week, and Alden decided it was the perfect opportunity to do a surprise proposal. Alden knew one of Queeny's close friends, Felicia, lived in Vancouver, and he reached out so she could help with the proposal. Alden's brother and cousin, Alvin & Kelvin, also flew into Vancouver to help out with the surprise proposal and secretly met with the photographer before the proposal date. Since Felicia owns a beauty salon, she was also able to help Queeny get ready for her surprise proposal, without any suspicion. While Queeny was hopeful that he might propose during this trip, it still came as a complete surprise for her when he got on one knee at Green Lake in Whistler. On the date of the proposal, Alden and Queeny drove from the city to Whistler and stopped at various hiking and sightseeing locations. This was all planned by Alden, and ultimately, the plan was to end up at Green Lake with a dinner reservation for her "Birthday". When sunset came around, Alden & Queeny did a final hike at Green Lake, where a hidden photographer was waiting for their arrival. Right at sunset, as planned, Alden got down on one knee and asked Queeny to marry him, and she said YES!
