We met late one night—well, early morning, really—on a dating website. I was about to settle in after a long shift, and he had just finished his. With a little time to kill, I decided to try out a livestream, hoping to find someone interesting to chat with. About ten minutes in, Bernard joined. We hit it off almost immediately, diving into everything from work to our favorite hobbies, random thoughts, and life in general. The conversation flowed easily, and before I knew it, wed exchanged numbers. That night, we FaceTimed, talking until I could barely keep my eyes open. Eventually, I drifted off to sleep.. both of us still on the phone. Just watching her face glowing in the light was the most cutest thing. When I woke up a few hours later, I realized he was still on the call... snoring. I smiled, listening for a moment, before hanging up. It was one of those rare, spontaneous moments that felt right. The real surprise came when I tried to start my car that morning—nothing. It wouldn’t start, and there was no way I could make it to work. Frustrated, I thought about my options. Who could I call? My mind immediately went to Bernard. I hesitated for a second, unsure if it was too soon for him to know where I lived ,but then I dialed. “Hey, I’m kind of stuck. My car won’t start, and I need a ride.” I could hear the concern in his voice when he answered. Without missing a beat, he said, “I’ll come pick you up.” I was a little nervous—after all, we’d only just met—but I felt a sense of comfort in his words. Wanting to ease her mind , on the way to pick Drea up I got her some breakfast and grabbed a small bouquet of flowers. When he arrived, he greeted me with a warm smile, and I couldn’t help but grin back. He handed me flowers and food and all I could do was smile ALL DAY LONG! That day, something shifted. It wasn’t just the ease of our connection or the comfort we found in each other’s presence—it was that undeniable feeling we both shared: we were meant to be together.
