Lexie is the yin to my yang. Although only a day apart in age, we couldn't be anymore different - her feisty, cerebral and carefree spirit is my perfect complement. We met freshman year in college and have been best friends (whether she liked it or not) since then. For the past decade she has not only been the greatest encourager to go for my dreams, she's usually behind the scenes helping me make them a reality.

My brother Greg and I have so many hilarious stories from our childhood, honestly It’s amazing we both turned out/ survived. I think Greg gave me my peculiar sense of humor. He’s always been the one person I knew who pushed the boundaries of what everyone else thought was normal, acceptable, or comfortable. It’s something I greatly admire about him and still learn from now. He’s himself, through and through, and I love that about him.

The story of our friendship truly began in the healing sands of Utah's desert, where one soul-cleansing camping trip transitioned us from acquaintances into sisters. One of my dearest and not-so-nearest friends (maybe one day!), Samira is the epitome of kindness - she is poised, thoughtful and a beacon of light that truly brightens my life.

Just thinking about Joseph makes me smile. He is literally the funniest dude I know, and always a good person to be around. He’s kind and supportive and will always be there with the hot sauce to liven things up. We’ve had many adventures together and I know we’ve got many more in our future!

Carrie beats to her own, very off-beat drum and I am her number one fan (and also the lead singer). Over the past few years since I convinced her to move to Utah with me, she has been both my rock and my comedic relief. Together we have climbed countless peaks, had many jam sessions and literally/figuratively peed our pants from our own jokes. She is the absolute kindest, most selfless person I know and even though it says bridesmaid, she is my flower girl at heart.

Billy helps keep me up to date on what kids think is cool now. Which is nice because I’m constantly moving more towards an old man. Seriously though, he’s a bright place in the world and has helped me to see what’s important in my own life. I love his honesty, his humor, and his selflessness. He’s an incredible little dude and he’s going to be my little brother soon!

Nikki has always been like a big sister to me. One of those really cool big sisters that you want to grow up to be just like. Whether it's starting a dance party on a rooftop in Colombia or bombing down some fresh powder on the Colorado slopes - Nikki is my ride or die gal who's always down for anything, as long as there's a cold beer involved.

Mark and I connect on all things nerdy and musical. He and Leslie, his wife, are some of my closest friends and have gone through a lot with me. Always down for a beer and a show. We’ve seen countless together, I literally cannot count them... I’m very happy to call Mark a friend and look forward to many music discoveries through him.

Award for my quirkiest (and most adorable!) friend goes to Jessie, who fun-fact, is basically the reason John and I met (a story for another time). She has been my confidant, co-worker, adventure buddy, and slap-happy sidekick since we moved out to Utah together. Like a coming-of-age tale, we experienced some of our biggest growing pains and highlights, side by side and are bonded for life.

Levi and I met through friends of friends and have been close ever since. He’s a man of few words but always there for you with some wise and supportive dad-like thing he’ll do. Of all the friends I’ve tried to convert through my beer brewing missionary work Levi is the only convert. Maybe it’s his Mormon roots. Thanks dude, and thanks for being part of our day.

My red-headed soul sister, the say-it-how-it-is friend who takes the complication out of life and makes me enjoy the present. Gerrica is my cheerleader, my music twin and one of the most loving people I have ever had the joy of calling my friend. Although I'm still hurt she ditched me to move to Australia for an Irishman (hey Shane!) it's pretty powerful to know that even multiple continents worth of distance doesn't hinder our friendship.

Mo has supported me through all the highs and lows of life. He’s one of my brothers who always showed up for me. I made it through college because of him: scholarship essays, a place to stay, late night talks or early morning coffee. He was the first to introduce me to the world outside my upbringing. Which is significant in a way that I can't really explain, I just know I wouldn’t have made it this far in life without him.

Lexi was one of the first friends I made in college and she has had one of the greatest effects on my entire life. She is smart, adventurous, naturally talented in everything she tries, and always sees the best in people without attaching any judgement. Her energy is contagious and it's hard to spend time around her without coming out a much better person.

Augusto was my best friend throughout college. Oddly enough the only other country I had traveled to at the time was Peru, which is where he is from. He has a magnetic personality and this laugh that I always loved. He taught me, through example, how to appreciate people in a genuinely deep way. I don’t get to see Augusto as often as I would like but the friendship we have has always felt permanent and I am so happy to call him brother.

Katherine May Ugi is going into 4th grade. She loves gymnastics, cats, and chickens. She enjoys spending time with her family on their small farm in New Jersey. Her favorite subject is Science. She wants to be an Olympic Gymnast when she grows up. We are delighted to have this adorable young lady be a part of our special day!
