For all the book lovers out there, Poor Richard’s is a local bookstore located in the heart of downtown Frankfort. It’s one of Tai’s favorite places to visit at home. We recommend exploring the attic full of older books over a wide range of topics with a view of the Old Capitol building.
This park is where Garrett proposed! It offers a nice paved walking trail alongside the Elkhorn Creek.
For all the modern art enjoyers, 21c is a museum/hotel with galleries off the lobby free to the public year-round. Located in downtown Lexington, the gallery is a nice site to visit!
Ale-8 One is a Kentucky soft drink with many variations over the years. Winchester happens to be where the bottling factory is, so while you’re there, you can learn how the soda is produced. Tours are free (but you must reserve your spot) and occur on Tuesday and Thursdays.
Garrett completed his three co-op rotations at Toyota in Georgetown. Tai also visited the plant when they were in elementary school with their family as part of a staycation. Tours are free and can be booked using the link below.
