The Wedding Website of Priscilla Trastoy and Joseph Pye
Meet our family and friends who are walking down the aisle with us.

Andrew Pye

Best Man

Joey is the older brother that everyone wishes they had. From bunk bed bros to tent mates to Spanish albergues, we have grown together and experienced the world together. I’ll never forget when I asked Joey to be the best man for my wedding; he responded, “it will be the greatest honor of my life”. He is a man wise beyond his years, earnest, supportive, and I cannot wait to see the life he builds with Priscilla.

Brendan Hiller

Groomsman

I (Joey) first remember meeting Brendan in his mom’s RE class in elementary school. I remember he was reading a book called Eragon. We later bonded over this book in high school and a great friendship was born. This friendship continued to grow especially as we both dove into our Catholic Faith. After college, I had the privilege of living with Brendan for 5 years and sharing life on a daily basis. Not enough could ever be said about the support he has given me as a brother.

Garrett Holmes

Groomsman

I met Joey at Mockingbird Elementary, which is a stone’s throw away from St. Ann, the church he is getting married at. Joey and I have been friends for the better part of two decades, which means we have made countless memories together. One of my favorite memories with Joey is when we went on an overnight kayaking trip on the Brazos River about five years ago. It was during that trip that Joey and I had an incredibly impactful conversation about marriage and our mutual desire to lead our future wives to heaven. To me, that is the great story of our friendship - two guys pushing each other to be better and grow in holiness. I have been blessed by Joey’s virtue and true friendship, and I am humbled to be at his side as he marries the love of his life.

Mark Slette

Groomsman

Joey and I met when we were in 2nd grade at Mockingbird Elementary. We had the opportunity to grow up together in Coppell - just down the road. Our paths crossed at St. Ann's and throughout the Coppell School District. The fact that we've been able to journey together as brothers and young adults is what's truly AWESOME! Incredible times on camping trips, hikes, road trips. Being on mountain tops, down to the beautiful beaches. So many good moments together! I'm excited to see Joey get hitched! Glad it's finally happening!

Blake Simon

Groomsman

Joey and I were in a preschool together, but it wasn’t until high school that we really grew close together as friends. We went to school together, we went to church together, we worked at the same place together. We’ve taken road trips together to Colorado, Nashville, Big Bend, New Orleans, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. Doing my wedding, Joey was one of my groomsmen. Two hours before the ceremony, the unthinkable happened: my pants ripped right down the back seam. In this moment of panic, the first person in my wedding party to step up was Joey. He immediately offered to swap pants with me. Luckily, Joey had gained a little bit of weight since high school so the pants (mostly) fit. Joey saved the wedding (or least my dignity), because like always, he was putting other people before himself. I think that illustrates who Joey is: an incredibly loving, genuine, and fearless friend. I’m incredibly excited to see him and Priscilla get married. I couldn’t be happier for them.

Trevor Stiff

Groomsman

I’ve had the pleasure of knowing the marvelous Joey Pye since the early days of middle school. A true friendship was forged when we created a Rube Goldberg machine for a 7th grade science project involving a mouse trap, RC car, and his “little brother’s” (aka the Best Man of this wedding) Wendy’s-themed Valentines Day card box, among other items. Joey was convinced that the video of the machine in action would go viral on YouTube. It racked up an impressive 21 views. Through the years, Joey and I’s friendship continued to grow through formative years together in St. Ann’s youth ministry. As adults, we’ve shared many memories over bar crawls, a sand volleyball league, and several adventures across the country. It has been wonderful seeing Joey and Priscilla’s relationship blossom over the past year and I am both thrilled and honored to be alongside them on their special day.

Kevin Doherty

Groomsman

Joey and I met at a St. Ann High School Ministry training in 2018. We led multiple small groups together in our time volunteering and went on Mission Laredo together three times. Fun fact: Joey was my registered companion (gay lover) when I worked for American Airlines and we were able to travel to Chile, Rome, & LA. We consummated our friendship when we shared a bed together in New York.

Bradford Downs

Groomsman

Bradford and I (Joey) met when we led a small group of high schoolers for a men’s retreat at St Ann’s. With a goofy sense of humor and love for the Faith, I knew we would soon be great friends. I had the pleasure of living with Bradford for a year and half while he was preparing to marry Mary Grace. Helping each other through big changes in our young adult lives, we have always been there for each other. His support on my wedding day means the world to me.

Melissa Bradford

Maid of Honor

Priscilla and I met at SMU’s Catholic center. She doesn’t remember our first time meeting but she came up to me on the first day of class and asked where the English building was on campus. I knew we were going to be good friends on that day. One of my favorite memories with Priscilla was our trip to Arkansas and practicing rollerblading on the main street after having such a fun day! It was such a simple trip but to this day has been one of the best. I am truly fortunate to have a friend like her and to have had the opportunity to grow along side her. This next chapter of her life has been one we have had many conversations about, which is why I look forward to the vow exchange the most!

Sophie Petros

Bridesmaid

Sophie claims that she is responsible for this entire wedding because she invited me (Priscilla) to SEEK, which is a part of the journey in how I met Joey. She certainly deserves some of the credit! Sophie has been a true friend to me since the moment we met! Though she rejected my initial invitation to room together (before she knew how cool I was), she has made it up to me over the years. Sophie and I have gone on countless memory-making trips together, but more importantly, my faith has deepened by her friendship. I would rewind to our summer tripto Charleston anytime if I could - laughing, dancing, singing, and joking on King Street. The Sophie-Priscilla energy is always a must, which is why I am SO excited she will join me as a bridesmaid.

Yaelis Terra

Bridesmaid

Yaelis and I (Priscilla) met at St. Thomas Aquinas in Dallas, TX in 2021. On that fateful day, I knew how close we would become! One of my favorite trips with Yaelis was when we went to Cancun (her hometown), a well-known honeymoon spot which I certainly lure over her husband. Yaelis' friendship has been one that I have often relied on for wisdom and laughs. And now, I am so excited that she will serve as a bridesmaid, and even more excited that she'll be a mom by the time I get married - once again, I will be one step behind her asking for her wisdom.

Juliana Trastoy

Matron of Honor

I met Priscilla when I was 10 years old, two weeks after my birthday. I guess you could say she was a delayed birthday present! Ever since then, Priscilla has been a gift in my life. Although we don't always agree on things, I learn so much from her wisdom, strength and insights on life. Priscilla is not only a gift to me, she is a gift to anyone that is blessed to meet and befriend her. I was lucky God chose her to be one of my sisters. I realize now she's not so little anymore. The little girl I saw grow up is now getting married and all I wish for her and Joey is happiness and all of God's blessings.

Manuela Trastoy

Bridesmaid

Manuela, also known as Lili (Lee-Lee), is my (Priscilla's) older sister. Growing up, we were not always very nice to each other, but as adults - as with most sisters, we have learned to appreciate one another. She has an incredible sense of humor and knows exactly what to say to me when I am feeling down. If I need to speak to anyone, I know I can call Lili first - because she will always pick up the phone ready to talk anything through. I am excited to have her as my bridesmaid!

Adrianne Trastoy

Bridesmaid

Adrianne or Didi (Dee-Dee) is my younger sister, having missed being Irish twins by two months. I often think that she arrived so quickly after my birth because God knew I needed someone to have my back (as she often does). Didi is incredibly artistic. Growing up, I would often request her expertise for her hair and make up help, haha. Having her as a bridesmaid is an absolute pleasure, and I am excited that she will, again, be there to have my back!

Sabrina Trastoy

Bridesmaid

Sabrina is my youngest sister, the 8th of 9 children. She and I had the pleasure of being roommates for most of teenage years, so she of all people might have a lot to say about my growth in virtue, haha! Though younger than me, her wisdom and maturity has provided me with much reassurance throughout the years. I will be needing that same reassurance on my wedding day! It is an honor that she will serve as one of my bridesmaids!

Amanda Mucke Silva

Bridesmaid

Amanda is my (Priscilla's) cousin from the U.K. The first time we met was on a trip to London in June 2013. Since then, we have gone on lots of adventures together - the backcountry of England, Amsterdam, Spain, and yes, you guessed it, TEXAS! Though far apart in distance, Amanda is ever close to my heart. Our pilgrimage to the Camino de Santiago in Summer 2024 was one I'd never forget. I am glad that she will help me continue my life's pilgrimage as a bridesmaid!!

Takmien Miah

House Party

Takmien and I (Priscilla) met in high school in New Jersey. We didn't become as close as we are now until we both graduated college. Our friendship, throughout the years, has grown, matured, and deepened. If I ever need a pick-me-up conversation, I know that Takmien will pick up the phone at any hour of the day or even at night - she's worked nights as an airplane-mechanic for years. I have been inspired by her, loved by her, and encouraged by her like no other. She is friend that you always want in your court, which is why I am absolutely thrilled she joins my House Party!

Caylee Kennedy

House Party

Priscilla and I met at a pool party. She attended with a mutual friend of ours, and I’m so grateful she did! Ever since that July day in 2021, Priscilla has been my concert buddy, someone I could drink coffee with at any time of the day, and my favorite dance partner! My favorite memory of Priscilla is spending our Christmas together when we had Covid. While we were both sad we couldn’t see our families, we had so much fun being lazy and watching Christmas movies, baking cookies, and sharing a wonderful Christmas meal together with our friends! I can’t wait to dance the night away with Priscilla at her wedding!

Faith Flores

House Party

I’m soooo excited for the wedding and I can’t wait to see how you and Joey grow together and your love exponentially grows! Priscilla & I met back in 2021 through mutual friends and it was like we had know each other for years! One of my favorite memories is/are all of the concerts we’ve been to together and all of the times at red river!!

Thalia Mercado

House Party

Thalia and I met the summer after our freshman year of high school in New Jersey. Though we did not attend the same high school, we spent every summer of high school together learning and growing together. Thalia's sense-of-humor and wit has gotten me through a great deal. She is a friend that I am incredibly grateful for and would never mind having a 3-hour phone call with (which has happened many times on my calls to her on road trips). My newest favorite memory with her was her visit to San Diego in Summer of 2024. I am even more excited that she will join me on my bachelorette and wedding day as member of my House Party!

Rachel Cary

House Party

I don’t remember the first time I met Priscilla, but I do remember the first time we exchanged phone numbers at a bar called Sidecar Social. I thought I would never see her again and saved her nickname as “Sidecar Social Catholic Gal” (lol). Thankfully, that wasn’t the case, and I did see Priscilla again. Not only that but she quickly became one of my best friends! Her warmth, positive outlook, and love of God made her one of my favorite people to hang out with! One of my favorite memories of Priscilla is when she was officially named our group’s “hype girl.” It was my birthday, and she convinced an entirely bar to sing “Happy Birthday” to me. No matter what is happening, Priscilla is always able to find a way to cheer me on and encourage me! I’m most looking forward to her and Joey getting to celebrate the amazing sacrament of matrimony!
