The Wedding Website of Chris Ramlackhan and Princess Baniqued
*We're incorporating some Filipino traditions into our wedding* Ceremony traditions: Principal Sponsors act as Godparents whose marriage and life experiences inspire us to enter into this holy matrimony. Secondary Sponsors have a special role: The Coins - Aka "Arras" are blessed for the groom to gift his bride as he promises the welfare of her and their future family. The Veil sponsors – Symbolizes that the couple are clothed and unified as one. The Cord sponsors – The figure eight shape of the lasso/cord represents infinity and that there is no end to the covenant the couple has entered into. The Candle sponsors - This is the final ritual symbolizing the bonding of two individuals and two families into one.

"The Money Dance" pictured above takes place during the reception. The money received during the dances is perceived as a sign of good fortune, while also assisting the couple as they begin their journey as husband and wife. How to: Guests line up in two queues, with everyone holding a pin and waiting their turn to dance with the bride or groom. Dance partners pin their cash offerings or they design fanciful crowns and capes made of money for the newlyweds.
