Tara and Chris met through a series of connected events in the Spring of 2014. Tara had just taken a job at Oracle, in Reston, Virginia, where Chris happened to be employed at that time. They crossed paths in the hallways and at the office gym, but didn't formally meet each other at first. One Saturday, Chris was golfing at East Potomac in DC with some of his Oracle buddies. They had caught up to the group ahead of them, and noticed a pretty blonde girl with a nice swing in the group. Naturally, they decided to hit into the foursome ahead so they'd be obligated to apologize and get to talk to the girl. So they did just that, and upon pulling up to the girl's group to ask for forgiveness, the girl quickly recognized the offending tee shot hitters as fellow Oracle employees! So this questionable tactic led to an official introduction between Chris and Tara, where they learned that they shared a lot of the same interests. She worked part time at the golf course and developed an interest in playing by watching the golfers during her shift. It turned out she also lived right down the street from Chris, and this led them to advance their relationship to the highly serious "Carpool Buddy" level. Carpooling to Oracle allowed them to really get to know each other, talk about golf, working out, plan nights out, all while hearing the life philosophies of one Dan Uscisnki. Over time, they realized they liked each other more than your typical ride share travelers and they began officially dating. He helped her become a club champion golfer, and she helped him by exhibiting an incredible work ethic and energetic intelligence that is a constant motivating force. They bring out the best in each other, and both have amazing families who support them as well.

Chris proposed to Tara at her Alma Mater, JMU, on Homecoming weekend 2018. Tara was surrounded by friends, former coaches and teammates. She was an amazing field hockey player for JMU so Chris wanted to propose to her in a place that had a spirit of happiness and awesome memories. He proposed right before the game started, in front of the main entrance, on a beautiful October day in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

Chris and Tara currently live in Arlington, Virginia. Tara and Chris both sell enterprise productivity software to large corporations in the Mid Atlantic. They have a Maltipoo named Jet who keeps them on their toes. Tara and Chris are excited to see all their family and friends in July.
