It was the beginning of March 2015. I (the Bride) had decided to give online dating a try. I signed up for a website called Plenty of Fish (POF). But I had no patience for it... After a couple of weeks, I decided to close my account since I was not using it. However, before doing so, I checked out my last messages. Patrick had messaged me on the day before. He asked me what was my favorite restaurant in Charlotte, NC. I am a super foodie, so that got my attention. I took a look at his profile, and that got my attention too. ;) We went on our first date on March 28, 2015. It was a cloudy and chilly day. Patrick invited me to go to one of his favorite breweries, Birdsong, in NODA, Charlotte. It started a little awkward as he went for a hug, and I went for a handshake, but the conversation flowed well. We talked about traveling, which he had already done a lot, enjoyed beer and good food. We literally shared a burger, fries, and mussels at Crepe Cellar, my favorite place at the time. The hours passed fast as we were having fun. That was the first of many dates!
