How We Met

The beginning of every modern love story: Bumble. After swiping right, Eva had to message him first. Chris was a self proclaimed "lumberjack" with shaggy hair and a plaid flannel. We had an instant connection after meeting at Hooligans on North Ave for drinks. We found mutual love for hiking and being out in nature, wanting to find the best ramen in Milwaukee, and never saying "no" to an old fashioned. Although his Bumble profile advertised "lumberjack", it took about 3.5 years for me to ever see him cut a tree down. We keep telling each other, we couldn't be luckier that we started our careers in Milwaukee and crossed paths on an app.

The Wedding Shed

Trying to plan a wedding in the middle of a panny-d was stressful. There was (and is!) a lot of unknown. Peggy and Bryan, Christopher’s parents, offered to let us use their newly built pole barn as a wedding venue. This eliminated a lot of stress, gave us the ability to keep a guest list and allows us to share the love for Squirrel Lake with everyone we know. We can’t wait to make new memories here. Major thank you and shout out to The Haacks for hosting us. October in Minocqua can be beautiful, but unpredictable. Recommending a weather check for the weekend. Ceremony outside, reception indoors. Cocktail attire is requested. We love your kids but thought you might like a night off. We have chosen to make our special day adults only. We thank you for your understanding.

COVID 19 Response

We can’t wait to have all of our favorite people together in one place! With the current guidelines in mind, we do encourage you to refrain from handshakes, hugs or other physical contact with any guests outside of your household. We anticipate adhering to Wisconsin and/or Oneida County's guidelines come October. We encourage all guests to get vaccinated, wash your hands, and wear a mask when applicable.
