After weeks of Anthony persistently trying to get Brittany’s attention, she finally noticed him when he posted a photograph he had taken of Antelope Canyon, something other than the usual gym progress pic. She asked if he wanted to explore Utah together and visit the Pink Sand Dunes -she had just bought a 4Runner and was eager to break it in on a road trip. She asked if he was free in two weeks: Thursday, October 5, 2023 and told him she would pick him up. His only responsibility was snacks and filling the gas tank. When Brittany and Rosie arrived at his house, she had already curated the drive’s soundtrack by shuffling all of her “liked” songs so he could experience her very diverse music taste. Two days later, they met again for a leg workout, followed by dancing until 3 a.m. at XS Nightclub, singing SpongeBob songs, and Brittany playfully yelling, “Don’t you ever lie to me.” They never stopped hanging out after that.
