Flight
This is the main Austin airport-- 15 minutes from downtown Austin (Austin's not that big). If you're in the area looking to kill time (hopefully not because of a delayed flight), Steph recommends checking out Cafe Nena'i, a small Cuban cafe, 6 minutes drive from the airport. There's also a Whataburger fast food chain around the airport, if you want your Southern fast food fill, where you can grab a quick "hubchub" (honey butter chicken biscuit). Note: If you are looking to Uber anywhere FROM the airport, note that the rideshares are a BIT far from the main terminal (~5-10 minute walk).
House Or Rental
We've put together some Austin Airbnb options to showcase some neighborhood areas (mainly East Austin/South Austin) that would allow you easy access to some great areas of Austin. Please double-check specific neighborhoods (we've heard some iffy stories around Southeast Austin / Riverside), as our list is just for suggestions. Some other well-known Austin hotels include: South Congress Hotel, Downright Hotel, The Line, beyond your typical hotel chain options.
Hotel
Our wedding venue is about 30 minutes drive southwest from downtown Austin. We recommend you stay in Austin and drive back and forth on the day of. However, if you would like to be worry-/drive-free on the night of our wedding (responsible driving please!!), Sleep Inn & Suites is a great nearby option to our wedding venue, and they provide a free shuttle service to and from the venue on the day of the wedding.
