We originally met the way many millennials know how: through Tinder. After first connecting over our favorite movies and actors (such as our love for Jennifer Lawrence), we continued to bond over topics as diverse as Mediterranean food, why nurses rock, and higher education reform. A few days later, we enjoyed a casual first date dinner as we ordered from a Japanese food truck and played Mario Kart at Spider House’s famous outdoor Nintendo setup (which Liana won of course) before going to a poetry slam at the Spider House Ballroom. Afterward, Bruno walked Liana back to her apartment and before she stepped inside, he pleasantly surprised her with a gentle kiss on the cheek and hugged her good night. Feeling a little blushed, Liana immediately told her roommates (two of whom are now her bridesmaids - Alisa and Katie) all about it and how much she looked forward to a second date. And the rest, as they say, is history! After many great memories and moments of bliss together, we're now happily getting married on the anniversary of our first date, four years later!

Bruno proposed three days after our "official" three-year anniversary (Valentine's Day 2015). Originally, Liana thought she was getting a belated Valentine’s Day surprise, so she had no idea what was happening as Bruno drove her out to a remote area past city limits. When Liana saw a sign that read "Helicopter Tours," she got super excited! She had never flown in a helicopter before and thought it was the coolest present she had ever received - she thought it couldn't possibly get any better than that! But little did she know... Right before we got inside the helicopter, Bruno nervously pulled Liana aside and after delivering a romantic monologue, he got on one knee and proposed! Of course Liana was crying tears of joy as she said "Yes!" Everything was such an exciting blur and afterward, we went on to fly all over central Austin, the city where we met and fell in love.
