We’re getting married!

In the year of 2018, Justin, a tall, dark, and handsome bartender for Broadway, was working a routine shift at the Winter Garden Theater when his life was unwittingly changed forever. Katie, a spunky recent theatre school graduate, was in her first Front of House position as a Vendor (those poor kids with 50 lbs concessions boxes strapped to them). She had no idea what she was in for. When first our lovers met, they were immediately drawn to each other; their chemistry and shared sense of humor apparent from the get-go. They bonded over silly penguin videos on the internet, and later - seemingly absentmindedly - Justin unveiled an irresistible secret weapon: his singing voice. “Dang,” Katie thought, listening to him croon a ballad from Bonnie & Clyde while he restocked the bar. “That. Is. Dreamy.” But as cruel fate would have it: they worked for the same company! Katie had made moves to switch over to Sound Associates, however, where she would remain on Broadway distributing headsets for the hearing impaired. This new position was preferable as it would not inflict permanent damage on her spine. Plus: it conveniently meant that the two would no longer be coworkers. “Huzzah!” thought Justin. And though a lot of shameless flirting ensued in the days leading up to Katie’s transfer, he waited - like a gentleman - until her last day to ask her for her number. Within a week they were dating, within a month they were exclusive, and after the first year, their friends were ready to strangle them for being so sickeningly in-love all the time. Over the next several years, they weathered a pandemic, moved into their first apartment together, and adopted the most precious pup known to man. Through twists and turns, they supported each other. As partners, they grew and learned as they went. While times were occasionally tough and the world often felt full of uncertainty, the one thing they were always certain about was each other. When they could, they traveled to charming domestic locations including Mystic, Cape May, and New Orleans. In the Autumn of 2022, they made their way to Boston, where Justin proposed on a sunset harbor cruise and onlookers applauded when Katie fervently exclaimed, “YES!!!” He presented her with a ring of rose gold (her favorite), having conspired with her best friend to guess the size, and throughout the land it was unanimously agreed: “that guy’s got some serious style.” On September 3rd, 2023, Katie and Justin will be married at the Pavilion at Sunken Meadow, on the shore of the Long Island Sound.
