The method they met wasn't too exciting, but their first date was a moment they will never forget. Being new to online dating, Chelsea tried Bumble. Date after date and she was getting TIRED of it. Then suddenly this cutie with an actual description of what he likes, what he's looking for popped up on her feed. They matched and she could tell that Wesley was different from the rest. He actually took the time to get to know her. After a few short weeks they agreed to meet up. They met after work at Union Coffee in Milford, NH. Right away, they knew they had great conversation and chemistry. They were laughing, smiling, and enjoying each other's company when one of the baristas approached them. She said "Oh, I'm really sorry but we actually closed 10 mins ago." At that moment, they turned, locked eyes and laughed. They were getting "kicked out" of the coffee shop. For their next date, they again met up at Union Coffee to listen to an open mic set. Chelsea remembers trying to say goodbye to Wes, and it being a bit awkward. You could tell they wanted to hug goodbye, but didn't know how to initiate. Fast forward to their next, now serious date. Chelsea went to Wes's house to watch scary movies since they both shared a passion for Halloween and spooky things. That day, she met his mother Deb, his twin brother Gregory and his wife Annie! She was so nervous and was completely not prepared for that. Wes and Chelsea shared their first kiss that night and Wes asked her to be his girlfriend. She immediately said yes, and Wes seemed a little surprised about her enthusiasm. They were "Facebook" official and then they happily deleted Bumble off their phones. This honestly feels like so long ago! Wes and Chelsea are ready to take this next step in their relationship with all their loved ones by their side! They can't get kicked out of their own wedding right?! XD Cheers
Lets keep this short and sweet. There wasn't a BIG extravagant moment where Wes got down on one knee and asked Chelsea to marry him. There were no fireworks, or cannons shot into the air. We kept things low key and for us that was just as special. Although we aren't very traditional people we decided to keep with tradition and make sure that we had our parent's blessing before we made anything official. We first got Wesley's mom's blessing as we enjoyed some champagne, good music, and the company of our animals. We couldn't have asked for a more wonderful day. The day that we got Chelsea's parent's blessing was also the day we celebrated Chelsea's grandma's 90th birthday. Her parents were absolutely ecstatic! Her mom almost fell out of her chair! We celebrated with a cheers alongside Chelsea's aunt and uncle. It was an absolutely magical day. Now it was time to announce our love to the world. We officially got engaged June 25th, 2023. To celebrate our Engagement we decided to camp up north together in Errol, New Hampshire right next to the Androscoggin river. It was one of the most amazing weeks of both of our lives. It also solidified our bond with each other. We have truly each found the love of our lives in each other. This is just the beginning and we are so excited to take the next step in our journey through life.
