All Roads Lead Back to St. Isidore

First comes throwing someone under the bus, then comes marriage

Our story started at St. Isidore Catholic Church, which makes it pretty fitting that we’ll be getting married there too. At first, we were just two people in the same place, not thinking much of it. And honestly, one of our earliest memorable moments involved David throwing me under the bus to our boss (for something I didn't do)… and yes, I got in trouble. Not exactly a great first impression. But somehow, that didn’t end things before they started. We kept talking, then became friends, and over time, something more just kind of grew out of that. Wednesdays were a big part of that. We both worked at the church, and I started to look forward to seeing him every week. He would always make a point to come check on me, just to see if I needed anything. It was small, but it meant a lot. There wasn’t a big, dramatic moment; it was more a bunch of small ones that added up. We just kept choosing to spend time together, and eventually it felt natural to keep choosing each other. Jade was part of my life from the start, then David adopted Ellie, and later we adopted Mac together, which is pretty much how everything else went too, slowly becoming shared. Looking back, it’s easy to see how God was working through all of it, even when we didn’t realize it at the time. What started in a place of faith slowly turned into something we chose to trust Him with. And now we’re ending up right back where it all started, just a lot more sure of what we have now.
