The year was 2019. Taylor had just moved back from San Diego and needed a new job. Working at an escape room seemed like the perfect stopgap. "It's just temporary," she thought. But that guy that interviewed her was pretty cute... Michael was excited to have some fresh blood on the crew. He invited her to join the after work Dungeons and Dragons group and found her to be surprisingly nerdy and very sharp-witted. After a long, bloody uphill battle (in DnD), Michael finally asked to spend a little time with Taylor one on one. They found that their eccentricities simply meshed. A partnership grew. Together, they braved many obstacles, both fictional and real. From the lows of Michael's deployment, Covid, and hanging peel-and-stick wallpaper, to the highs of blossoming careers, a shared apartment, and off-beat adventures, one thing is sure: they have more fun navigating the world together. Michael and Taylor have grown their family by rescuing a couple of gloriously glossy black cats. Inkblot and Smudge are handsome, smart, brave, and totally not watching us while we type this. (No humans were harmed in the making of this website). By October 2024, it was obvious to both that they had found their person. Michael proposed with a gorgeous ring to make the whole thing official. Post-wedding, they look forward to tackling life's many adventures together with their signature weirdness and shared sense of humor.
