Will there be shuttles?

Answer

If you are staying at Grand View Lodge, there is a shuttle that runs throughout the property throughout the day. So, if you choose to stay on the property you will be all set! If you are staying at the Holiday Inn, we have arranged a shuttle that will pick you up at 2:45pm. Return shuttles will be at 9:30, 10:30, and 12.

Question

I want to stay at GVL but don't know which cabin to choose! What do you recommend?

Answer

In terms of convenience, we highly recommend booking on the Main Property because they are all within a short walking distance of where the ceremony and reception will be, as well as the other amenities. This includes the Main Lodge, North hotel, Grand View Cabins, Homes on Nokomis, Garden Cottages, or Linden Cottages. Here is a link: https://www.grandviewlodge.com/stay/main-property

Are my children invited?

While we love your little ones, we have decided to have our wedding be an adults-only occasion. Thank you for your understanding!

Question

I am flying in from out of state. Do I need to rent a car?

Answer

For those flying into MSP, we recommend either a car rental or shuttle service to get from the airport to the Brainerd-lakes area. It is about 2.5 hour drive. If you stay at Grand View Lodge, all activities are within walking distance, including the ceremony and reception. They also offer a complimentary shuttle services to transport throughout the property.
