Our Adventure Awaits!

Our story starts off with cupid, OkCupid that is. Alejandro first saw Aria's profile and was scrolling through. Under her '6 things you would never would be able to live with out' category he saw that she wittingly put air. What a perfect way to start the conversation. So Alejandro sent a message to Aria that day writing 'Dude! You like air? So do I!', Aria must admit it was definitely an original message, so she responded and the camaraderie started from there. They became friends and talked all the time online until Aria decided it was time for a 'phone date'. They hit it off on the phone just a much as they had texting until over the phone Aria heard a 'PPPPSSSSSHHHHHCLUNNKK'. After asking if everything was okay Alejandro responded that it was fine something had just fell in his office and they continued the conversation to meet in person. They met at Grossmont center ( as friends!) and grabbed dinner together and when they didn't want it to end they went to Barnes and Noble and talked about their favorite books, philosophy for Alejandro and Sci Fi novels for Aria. They both agree looking back now that night was the start of something special.

As time went by their friendship started to turn into something more. February of 2017 Aria and Alejandro were hanging out and Aria started talking about Spring Break coming up and maybe going somewhere... that's when the great idea of a road trip came to be. 7 days from San Jose to Seattle, it was unspoken but they both knew that this was going to be a make or break their relationship. Thankfully since you're reading this, it made it! It was a trip of a lifetime with amazing sightseeing with all 4 seasons of weather in a week and challenges to preserve through, like an 8 foot wall of snow in the way of getting to Crater Lake! Although obstacles were in the road they saw everything as an adventure to take on together! One of the hardest parts of their relationship yet was when Aria had to leave for Greece for 3 weeks. They kept in contact but still the 7,000 mile distance made their hearts grow fonder for each other. Alejandro had realized that if he missed her this much for just 3 weeks he couldn't even fathom to live his life without her and made the decision that would change their lives forever and bought her a ring while she was still thousands of miles away.

Few Months later Aria walks across the stage and graduates at SDSU with her Social Work Degree, had dinner at the family restaurant and the families went back to grandma's for dessert. Alejandro had mentioned in the car to Aria that he was nervous about our families really meeting for the first time. Everyone was having a good time and Aria had been helping hosting when grandma mentioned Alejandro needed to talk to her outside. When she went on to the back deck Alejandro was standing there by the gazebo with twinkly lights all around him. That's when he got down on one knee, popped open the ring box and asked her the most important question of their relationship. In complete shock hands over her out, she nodded her head. The smile on his face could have been seen from outer-space. With the that ring on her finger they came into both families congratulating them.

One thing had always bugged Aria about their phone date, so a couple days after the proposal she asked Alejandro again. ' What was that noise when we were on our phone date'. Alejandro finally admitted 'Well, I didn't want to tell you before because I was embarrassed but I was in my office at work leaning back in my chair with my feet on the desk and the chair slipped out from underneath me and I fell flat on my butt taking stuff from desk with me... But that's when I truly fell for you' To Be Continued
