What is the wedding attire?

Answer

At the end of the day, we want everyone to be comfortable in whatever they're wearing. Indian attire for wedding goes all out. For our non-Indian friends and family, if you're inclined to, go formal. You cannot be overdressed at an Indian wedding. How close is NYC to the wedding?

Glen Cove is ~30 miles from New York City. If you are driving, you can certainly drive straight there, but be aware that traffic in the city is awful and parking can be expensive. There is a Glen Cove train station which will get you into the city, about a 5 minute drive/Uber/Lyft away. What is the phone policy during the ceremony?

Answer

Feel free to take pictures during the ceremony. We only ask that you please keep your phone silenced for the duration of the ceremony.

Will there be a shuttle to and from The Cotillion (for the mendhi/sangeet)

Answer

Yes. The first shuttle pick up from the Mansion will be at 4:30 pm. It will drop off passengers and return for a second trip roughly 1hr later. At night, the first pick up from the Cotillion will be at 9:15pm. It will drop off passengers and return for a second trip roughly 1 hr later.
