Michael and I met through mutual friends about 10 or so years ago. We hung out and kind of dated but we were young and well you know how that goes. We hung out and enjoyed each others company for a few months and then life happened and we lost touch. Flash forward many years later to March 2021, we reconnected on a dating website (yes, I swiped right! LOL). We spent a couple months re-getting to know each other and we were quickly reminded that we have always had fun together doing pretty much anything and everything. Michael so sweetly asked me to be his girlfriend in May of 2021 and I of course obliged! January 22, 2022 started off as a normal as can be. We went to my cousins gender reveal that afternoon and were planning on going to dinner with my family at Southern Social. Before we headed to dinner, we had a few adult drinks at my parents house. My mom needed my advice on what shirt to wear to dinner so we both went into their bedroom and my mom shut the door behind us. After we picked out a lovely shirt for her to wear, I walked out of my parents bedroom into the hallway where I was greeted by my very handsome future hubby and he was quick to stop me in my tracks. He then proceeded to get down on one knee and propose to me. It was so special because it was at my parents house and not in front of a crowd of people! But the surprises didn't stop there! My family and Michael surprised me with a engagement party with all of my favorite people there to celebrate us! I was and still am so blessed by Michael and cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with him!
