Madison and Jacob’s story began when they were just 13 years old, in 7th grade at Fruit Cove Middle School. Weekends became something they looked forward to. Madison’s parents would drop her off at Jacob’s house, and Jacob’s parents would do the same. Even though their hangouts were short and closely supervised, they made the most of every moment. What started as innocent weekend visits slowly grew into a deep bond. They became best friends, the kind that only seems possible when you're 13. As they moved into high school, their connection only deepened. They navigated all the highs and lows that come with growing up: friendship, love, and even heartbreak. But through it all, they stayed close. That early connection evolved into something steady and enduring. Then came college. Madison went to Florida State, and Jacob headed to Boston College. Suddenly, they were on opposite ends of the East Coast. The distance wasn’t easy, but it taught them a lot—how to communicate, how to stay connected, and how much they truly meant to each other. When Jacob visited Madison, they would stay up talking for hours about the future. When Madison visited Jacob in Boston, they spent their evenings wandering the North End and calling it a night early, full and happy. Every visit became a reminder of what mattered most. Now, with college behind them, they are back where it all began. More in love than when they were 13, but now with years of memories, growth, and shared experiences behind them. Through every season, their love has been guided by faith, showing that what God brings together truly endures.
Ecclesiastes 4:12 "A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken." To Madison and Jacob, this verse is more than just a reminder. It is the way they choose to live each day. They have learned that life is richer when they walk through it together, supporting and encouraging one another. But the true strength of their relationship comes from knowing they are not walking alone. God is always at the center. Each day, they strive to live out this truth. They support one another, fight for each other, and invite God into every part of their lives. His presence is the third strand in their relationship, the one that holds everything together. Their love story has always been more than just their own. It is a reflection of God's grace, His perfect timing, and His unfailing faithfulness.
From the beginning, Jacob and I have always envisioned a small, intimate wedding with just us, our siblings, parents, and grandparents gathered together on the beach. We are so excited to celebrate this special moment in a way that feels most like us. But do not worry, we are not leaving anyone out of the celebration. We are planning a larger wedding party on March 21st at our first home, and we cannot wait to toast with all of our favorite people. It will be double the reason to raise our glasses—to marriage and our new home! Mark your calendars. Formal invitations and more details will be sent out closer to the date. We love you all so much and cannot wait to celebrate this next chapter with you.
