COVID-19 Precautions

This page will be updated as October 3 gets closer. Please check back in to see the most up to date information regarding what we will be doing to keep you safe! Here is Maine's current social gathering guidelines: https://www.maine.gov/decd/checklists/large-social-gatherings#:~:text=The%20number%20of%20individuals%20that,encouraged%20to%20reduce%20potential%20exposure.
Question

What is the venue like? Will anything be indoors?

Answer

Josias River Farm has 88,00 sq ft of space (to help with social distancing). It is a big farm with fields, gardens and a barn. We will be holding the ceremony outside, dinner underneath a giant tent, and dance (safely) in the barn.

Question

Are masks required?

Answer

Per the state of Maine guidelines, we will be requiring masks when proper social distancing is not an option. This means that for events such as the ceremony, walking around the dinner tent and being the barn, we will require you to wear a mask. We encourage you to BYOM and we do plan on supplying extras for those of you who left them at home!

Question

How are your vendors handling COVID precautions?

Answer

We have selected incredible vendors who are working hard to ensure everyone's safety. All of our vendors will be masked and have modified their normal setup/service to eliminate risk. For example, our caterer will be serving dinner behind a plexiglass wall and will be passing hors d'oeuvres only.

Question

Do I need to get a COVID Test?

Answer

We are strongly encouraging any of our guests to get a COVID tests. For those who are staying in a hotel, a 14 day quarantine or a negative test result will be required. We (the bride and groom) and our families will be getting tested the week of the wedding so that we can truly enjoy the day.
