The maid of honor is Abby’s big sister, Molly. At 26 years old and preparing for her own wedding, Molly has been by Abby’s side for as long as either of them can remember, and they have always been incredibly close, growing up as more than just sisters but as best friends. Some of their favorite memories are the simplest ones, watching Barbie movies and old Disney Channel shows together, laughing and escaping into their own little world. Molly has the loudest, realest laugh, the kind that fills a room, and she is quirky, unique, and effortlessly funny, someone everyone naturally gravitates toward. Growing up, Molly was the director behind all the “movies” they made together, while Abby proudly played the starring role, putting on shows in the living room for their family while Molly set everything up and encouraged her, never once making her feel like she needed to be anything other than herself. That same support carried through the harder moments in life, as Molly always looked out for Abby, stood by her side, and loved her through every phase, helping shape who she is today. Molly has always been unapologetically herself, never accepting less than she deserves, and that example helped Abby understand her own worth and led her to find a love like Max. Best Man
Max and Thiago go all the way back to 6th grade, when they first met during recess, and thirteen years later, not much has changed, except that their friendship has only grown stronger over time. Thiago has always been known for being funny, creative, and incredibly dedicated, as well as outgoing, responsible, and the kind of person who shows up when it really matters. He’s also, for better or worse, the guy who sends Max the absolute worst things imaginable on Instagram. One of Max’s favorite memories of Thiago goes back to when they were about 14 years old, walking to the movie theater at night, when the wind was so strong it was literally blowing Thiago backwards, proof that he’s been a stick his entire life and apparently still is. Max chose Thiago as his best man because he cares on a different level, he’s more than just a best friend, he’s like a brother, and through everything, Thiago has always been someone Max can count on. Also known as Cyclops, an epic gamer, and one of the most dependable people in Max’s life, Thiago is exactly the person Max wanted standing by his side on this day.
Bridesmaid
Zoë is Abby’s cousin and one of the most important people in her life. More than family, she is Abby’s best friend and true other half. Zoë is down to be there for anything, no matter the day or time—whether it’s a random weekday hangout, a trip to the dentist, the DMV, a night out, or even just a quick trip to Ross, she’s the kind of friend who shows up and makes life better. The two of them make each other laugh at the absolute stupidest things, often to the point of almost passing out or dying from lack of air, and they remind each other every day that they are total baddies. One of Abby’s favorite memories is driving to the beach at 11 at night multiple times—an hour away—and never actually getting out of the car. It was unspoken, but they both knew it wasn’t about the destination; it was about talking and laughing for the two-hour drive. Zoë even answers every single one of Abby’s calls with a cheerful, “Twin, where have you been?”—without fail. She has the biggest heart and is truly worth everyone’s time. As Zoë prepares for her own wedding, and with Abby honored to be her maid of honor, it feels especially meaningful to have her standing by Abby’s side on this day. When Max met Noel, the two instantly clicked. From gaming together on Discord to swapping stories and laughs, Noel has become Max’s “homey in law,” a friend and brother who makes even distance feel close while he and Molly are in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Having Noel in the wedding is more than just having a groomsman; it’s honoring someone who has shaped their family, supported them through the years, and brought so much joy and love into their lives. Abby and Max feel incredibly lucky to have him by their side on such a special day and couldn’t imagine celebrating without him.
Bridesmaid
Angelica is Max’s sister and one of the sweetest people you could ever meet. Bridesmaid
Katherine “Katie” Mansour came into my life through Max, since she’s his cousin, and I feel so lucky that our paths crossed. I’ve known Katie for about five years, and from the very beginning she was incredibly welcoming and made me feel like part of the family. Katie is thoughtful, hilarious, a little chaotic in the best way, and always up for an adventure. One of our favorite things is getting a random FaceTime or call from her, usually to tell us about some funny situation she’s gotten herself into, or sometimes just to show us one of her pets (who we love). Even though we don’t get to see Katie as often as we’d like because she lives far away, she’s always someone who’s easy and comfortable to be around. She means so much to both of us, especially because she’s always been so close with Max, and it made me so happy to see how excited she was to be part of our wedding. We’re so lucky to have her standing with us on our big day!
Groomsman
Will has been Max’s friend since they were kids, first meeting at an afterschool program at church when Max was six and Will was seven. Not long after, they ended up living just five houses down from each other, spending a huge part of their childhood side by side and building a friendship that has lasted ever since. Known for his goofy personality, Will brings a fun, lighthearted energy wherever he goes and has always been someone who can make Max laugh no matter what. Over the years, the two have shared a love for cars and countless memories growing up together, creating a bond that feels more like family than friendship. Even as life has changed and grown, that connection has never gone anywhere, and Will has always been there through every stage. In his own way, he’ll probably always be Max’s “true boyfriend,” and we’re so happy to have him standing by our side on this special day.
Bridesmaid
Sydney has always been like a cousin to Abby, and even though they aren’t technically related, their bond has felt like family from the very beginning. She is also the daughter of Abby’s mom’s best friend of 20 years, which makes their connection even more special. Sydney is smart, silly, kind, and super friendly, always ready for a fun time, full of laughter, and always making everyone around her feel welcome. Hal is also known for one very specific thing: his love for the color blue, and if there’s one thing to know, it’s that you can never go wrong with something blue because it’s practically guaranteed he’ll love it. Flower Girls
Ellie (8) and Madeleine (6), Max’s beloved sisters, bring a beautiful and meaningful connection to this day, and though Max was adopted, he shares a close and loving bond with his birth family, making it especially meaningful to have the girls as flower girls as a reflection of how deeply their families are intertwined. The closeness he shares with his siblings, along with how quickly Abby fell in love with all of them, made this decision an easy and heartfelt one. Ellie is confident, creative, and wonderfully silly, a true “color outside the lines” kind of girl, while Madeleine is a bit more shy but knows exactly what she wants and expresses it with a quiet confidence, and though they are quite opposite, they share a sweet, unbreakable bond. Both girls are incredibly bright and curious, with a shared love for learning and science that makes them just as impressive as they are sweet. When they were asked to be flower girls, Ellie quickly reassured everyone that she has experience and, as long as her dress isn’t too fluffy, she’s happy. The girls bring so much joy wherever they go, especially through their love of Legos, Wicked, and Ellie’s very intense (and slightly terrifying) baby doll, Emma, who she loves to use to scare Max. Abby and Max chose Ellie and Madeleine because they knew they would make their day more fun, more joyful, and completely unforgettable.
Ring Bearer
Michael holds a special place in Max’s life as his younger brother, and their bond is one that has grown into something truly meaningful over time. They have known each other for Michael’s whole life, with their families always staying connected and supportive of one another, creating a strong foundation that has allowed their relationship to grow naturally and become even more special as they’ve spent more time together in recent years.
