FAQs

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there is overnight parking available onsite.

Question

Do you have any lodging recommendations?

Answer

Please see the travel section for hotel and lodging recommendations. We have a hotel block booked under Prosser/Norris wedding at the Best Western in the town of Winter Park. There are also great Airbnb options nearby.

Question

What should I know about the altitude?

Answer

Our wedding is at ~9,000 feet above sea level, so you may feel the effects of high altitude (like headache or shortness of breath). To feel your best: drink twice as much water than you usually do, arrive early if you can, and pace yourself (1 drink at altitude = 2 drinks). Pack layers and wear your sunscreen!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Dress code is semi formal - tuxes and gowns to suits and cocktail dresses are welcome!

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are registered through Zola which you can find on the website.

Question

Can I bring my kids to the wedding? Is childcare available?

Answer

We kindly ask that our wedding reception at Headwaters Center be adults-only, but children are more than welcome to join us for the ceremony and welcome party. We know many of you are traveling with little ones and may need support for the reception evening. To help, here are some trusted local babysitting options in the Winter Park area: 1) Resort Sitters – Winter Park Insured, professional sitters who come to your hotel or Airbnb. resortsitters.com | (970) 376-7021 2) Summit Nannies Exceptional childcare for families in ski towns and mountain communities across Colorado, including Winter Park. https://www.summitnannies.com/babysitters 3) Care.com Sitters in the Area We’ve seen great reviews for sitters like Shayla W., who is CPR-certified with 8+ years of experience. We recommend booking early, especially for Saturday evening. If you're staying with other families, you might consider sharing a sitter.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please reply by August 9.

Question

Will the ceremony reception be outside?

Answer

Weather permitting, ceremony will be outside. Cocktail hour will be outside and inside. Dinner and dancing will be inside.

Question

What is the weather like in Winter Park in September?

Answer

Mountain weather is unpredictable! Expect sunny days, cool evenings, and the occasional afternoon rain. We suggest layers and a light jacket.

Question

When should I arrive in Winter Park?

Answer

If schedules allow, we recommend arriving by Thursday / Friday morning to make it to the welcome party and give yourself time to adjust to the altitude!

For all the days along the way
