It was Fall 2014, and one of my best friends invited me to tag along to a party after a UK football tailgate so she could meet up with her boyfriend. Once we got to the party and said our hellos, our other friend walked in with her boyfriend and his roommate, Jordan, who immediately caught my eye. My friend gave me the run down and told me Jordan was single. She set us up to play together on the same beer pong team. To this day, it is still an ongoing discrepancy of who was the better beer pong player (It was totally me!) After that day, Jordan and I only saw each other in passing for weeks until Jordan invited me to the Garth Brooks concert. Despite learning Jordan was an avid Patriots fan, we hit it off that night and really enjoyed each others company. We knew we had something special.
For Christmas 2018, Jordan got us two passes to The Biltmore Estate (He knows my love for historical sites!) Little did I know, that Christmas, Jordan had asked my dad for his blessing. Moving on to April 2019, It was a cloudless beautiful Saturday morning when we decided to take a tour of the Biltmore Gardens, where the Azaleas were in full bloom. We sat on a bench by the garden with nobody around but us. We talked for a minute and then I got up to smell the rose shrubs in front of us. When I turned around, Jordan was down on one knee. It was a moment we will both never forget.
