FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Black-Tie Optional. This means formal, black-tie attire such as tuxedos or dark-colored suits, floor-length gowns, or cocktail dresses. No semi-formal or casual attire, please!

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive no later than 4pm to allow time for parking and navigating the estate grounds. There will be on-site signs to guide you to the correct location. Guests will be seated at around 4:30pm.

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The wedding ceremony will be indoors, inside Tate House's pavilion.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Plus ones are by invitation only. Because our physical invitations are delayed, please reach out to Ethan or Kendall to confirm whether you have a plus one or not. On the physical invitation: if your invitation inner envelope reads "[Your Name] and Guest," you are welcome to bring a guest of your choosing. If your name appears alone, your invitation is intended for you only. Due to venue capacity, we are unable to accommodate additional guests beyond those formally invited.

Question

What food will be offered?

Answer

We will have the following hors d'oeuvre available: honey cream cheese, fig, & proscuitto pastry cups. For dinner, Tate House is offering the following in their buffet during the reception: Salad - Classic Caesar; Entrée - Rosemary Mushroom Chicken; Sides - Roasted Brussels Sprouts, Garlic Mashed Potatoes. Our wedding cake is a delicious yellow cake with salted caramel filling and Swiss buttercream.

Question

What if I have allergies or dietary restrictions?

Answer

Please contact us AS SOON AS POSSIBLE to allow us time to let the Tate House chef know how many alternative entrées he will need to make.
