No one actually knows this but they actually met YEARS ago at a college fair. Fast forward to where N & S met later on, 2018 at The Block Church. Natalie was living with her friend Jenna at the time, who would occasionally go to the gym with Steven. Their few times seeing each other quickly began to multiply. It was in early 2019 when Steven decided he would ask Natalie out ... for pizza of course! In April 2019 they made it official. They realized how much they enjoyed each other even though they were so different. With differences, came different mindsets and perspectives. After seeking counsel and laying some cards out, they decided it was best to break up in Spring of 2020.
After months of being "broken up"... (That's said in quotations because they probably didn't go more than 3 weeks without talking to each other.) They decided to give it another try. During all this time they walked with their mentors (The Mitchells) who kept them accountable and guided them along the way. A new year brought them back together for Volume II and they are better than ever. Though they are still imperfect, they loved one another so deeply. They have chosen to commit. For better or for worse. With the core goal of honoring Jesus.
July 17th, 2020 | What was merely a "dinner" became the very start of their next chapter. Steven had arranged a dinner with The Mitchells while at his home, were him and Natalie's closest friends and family preparing the house for an engagement celebration. Friends flew in and drove in from all over. Steven brought Natalie out back to a beautifully candlelit scene. Therein which he shared a video compilation of himself throughout the years talking through their relationship. Minutes later, he pops down on one knee to ask the famous question "WILL YOU MARRY ME"? To which Natalie replied "ABSOLUTELY." They then partied the night away with their family and friends! PS. You can find this video on his instagram page!
