One day, Tyler, Nicole's brother, is at a trashy bar in Holland, and invites Nicole to meet him there. Nicole and her friend, Leslie Meloni, arrive. Tyler leaves shortly after they arrive. Meanwhile, Andrew had just finished working a shift at the local movie theater, and decided to meet his friends at this same trashy bar. Andrew arrived at the bar in his work uniform and the smell of popcorn engulfing him. Andrew was about to leave when a drunken stranger offers to buy him and his friend, Thomas, drinks. Andrew and Thomas accepted the man's offer. This drunken stranger ends up bringing Andrew and Thomas over to Nicole and Leslie, and strikes up a conversation! The drunken stranger soon departed, but Andrew, Thomas, Nicole, and Leslie continued to chat and played a game of pool for the rest of the night! Andrew made a plan to set up a picnic with the help of Nicole's friends at a local cider mill. He spoke with the manager of the cider mill, and got her permission to set up a picnic right by their sunflower field. The week of the proposal, Nicole saw some information on her dad's phone that led her to believe the proposal was coming. Nicole ended up gaining more and more information as the week went on. Meanwhile, Andrew was concerned as the weather radar was suggesting rain for the day of the proposal. Andrew knew it was too late to change the plans, and prayed that the sky would clear. Despite some rain in the morning, the skies cleared up, and Andrew managed to propose as planned. Nicole said yes! After the proposal, Andrew planned a surprise engagement party with their friends and family at Nicole's family home. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
