On July 29th, 2023 Caleb met Sarah's parents, Chuck and Rebecca, at a cafe called Europa in Los Lunas, NM. Caleb promised to visit them at their church, Eastern Hills Baptist Church, in Albuquerque, NM. On April 14th, 2024 he finally visited EHBC where he met Sarah as she walked in late during worship.

On June 22nd, 2024 Caleb asked Sarah to be his girlfriend, and just three short months later he asked her to be his wife. When Caleb popped the question Sarah's first response was, "What!? What!?" followed by, "Yes! Yes!"
