Our Love Story

As any Gujarati love story begins, this one started in a dandiya line where Priyal and Aashish locked eyes for the first time. They immediately started to wonder who the other person was, and that thought lingered in their heads for days. The universe was on their side because one of Aashish's viral tiktok videos showed up on Priyal's For You page. She watched the video at least 50 times to confirm if it was the same person that she had seen in the dandiya line or just another handsome looking guy. After she realized her suspicions were correct, she spent the next 24 hours to muster up the courage to send him a message. She gave him one day to reply before she was ready to give up, delete the message, and accept that maybe it wasn’t meant to be. But on the 23rd hour, Aashish finally decided to open his Tiktok where he saw a message from, in his words, “the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen.” He immediately recognized her and then came 20 minutes of spiralling “Is she just being nice or is there something more here?” Followed by another 20 minutes of thinking about what to say and how to charm her. That first message turned into an endless thread of laughter, late-night conversations, and realizing that they are meant to be. The two hit it off and never looked back. Today, their love story grows with each passing day, whether they’re being goofy together, cooking, cleaning, binging their favourite TV shows, playing sports, or exploring the world hand in hand.
