What is it: The Vidhi (or Haldi) ceremony is a pre-wedding ceremony held with the bride and groom’s closest family and friends. Prayers are completed to remove any obstacles or hurdles the couple may face in their married life. Haldi (turmeric) is considered to be a cleanser for both the body and the mind. Family and friends will take part in the ceremony by applying a mixture of Haldi (turmeric), curd, sandlewood, milk, and rose water on the couple. The Mehndi (or Henna) is another pre-wedding ceremony where the bride and guests adorn their hands with a paste of Henna leaves. Henna is used to decorate the skin with floral and artistic motifs, that will leave a lovely dark pigment.
All events and venues at the Hyatt are wheelchair accessible and the Hyatt ensures that any additional accessibility needs will be met.
