This is a staple spot for us and our friends. Great food and great beer. What else could you need?
Just 1 hour east of Portland, Hood River provides some of the best wineries and wine tasting for our area. Also tucked amongst wonderful hiking trails, view points, and other amazing outdoor activities (although November weather may prevent spending much time outside).
You can reach the beautiful oregon coast in about 1.5 hours. Once there, there is amazing hiking, looking at creatures in tide pools at low tide, shopping, and wonderful seafood. Seaside is only one of many cool cities to visit.
Another favorite for great beers! Offers a really great variety and some wonderful food!
