It's truly unreal how much music and music history there is in Nashville. What began as a simple radio broadcast in 1925 is today a live entertainment phenomenon. Dedicated to honoring country music’s rich history and dynamic present, the Grand Ole Opry showcases a mix of country legends and the contemporary chart-toppers who have followed in their footsteps. The Opry – an American icon and Nashville, Tennessee’s number-one attraction – is world-famous for creating one-of-a-kind entertainment experiences for audiences of all ages. Hop on over to Opry Mills Mall for some shopping that will take hours of your time!
10/10 recommend going to eat hot chicken at Hattie B's! Please take into consideration what the staff is telling you about the spice levels - we want you to ENJOY your food there. While you're in the Midtown area where the original Hattie B's is located, take a little walk around the area which is also located by Vanderbilt University. If you're looking for a day at the park, take a drive to Centennial Park. *There are two other Hattie B locations and you can also explore more around those locations*
While you finish up walking around The Gulch area, you can think about (and actually go to) the 12th south neighborhood. Filled with boutiques, local shops and places to eat it will be a nice change from the bussaling Broadway scene. 12th South has the famous "I believe in Nashville" mural which we recommend you visit. DO NOT skip out on Five Daughter's Baker donuts as well!
Germantown has seen better days since the tornado earlier in 2020, so while you're visiting please remember to support your local businesses. Prisilla's favorite part of Nashville, she always enjoyed going to Butchertown Hall, Neighbors and Von Elrods. Located in Germantown are many eaters, bars and boutiques. The beloved baseball team, The Sounds, has a beautiful stadium in this area next to the newly built Tennessee State Muesum, Bicentennial Mall (not a real mall) and Farmers Market. You CAN walk to this area from Broadway - Prisilla has done it!
