This was one of the first questions Rudy asked Priscilla one unconventional night at One and One's, a cocktail lounge in the heart of Manhattan's Lower East Side. They were both out and about with friends - Rudy, having a guy's night out, and Priscilla, having an impromptu girl's night out with childhood friends. Priscilla was quietly waiting for her friends to leave the dance floor in the lower level of the establishment, and Rudy was casually looking at sports scores waiting to for his chance to head back home. He looked up greeted by Priscilla's warm, inviting smile, a smile that made a usually shy Rudy, feel comfortable - comfortable enough to deliver the clever line about Marvel characters. They ended up moving that initial talk to a nearby wine bar for more intimate conversation. That conversation, initially sparked by superheroes, continued long into the night, ranging from topics like usual hangout spots, to hobbies & personal goals for the future. On their first official date, a night of Improv comedy, food, & dancing, Rudy texted "I can see us building something great" - Priscilla snarkily texted back “I'm sure we'll end up hating each other :)” Who knew just how right Rudy would be in predicting one of many pivotal dates to come. Rudy proposed to Priscilla on New Year's Eve 2018, in the company of her best friend Raylene and husband Eddie. The surprise proposal was preceded by a seven-year courtship full of love & laughs. With seven years of evolving together, Priscilla has turned Rudy into an avid RPG gamer, who proudly knows all the cast members of the Real Housewives of Atlanta. Rudy has Priscilla eagerly rooting for his beloved Raptors every NBA season. Both still have aspirations of being superheroes. When they are not enamored with their dog Lulu, they enjoy warm weather vacations, day drinking in Brooklyn, school-year study sessions, dancing to Afro beats, and binging on bad reality TV.
